So fun to see your name pop up in my inbox! Congrats on your job and your BOOK! Also, I randomly have two jars of salsa verde in the pantry?! So obviously going to try that recipe ;)

So proud of you, Alex! Love this piece and how your life is a testimony to this faithful curiosity.

I can’t wait to spend some time with your journal prompts, too!

“But here's the thing about plans: they change. And desires change, too.”

What a beautiful and timely reminder! I’m soooo guilty of talking myself out of ideas. I love these prompts and practices and can’t wait to spend some time with them.

Thank you for sharing your personal story of significant change. How often we resist and fail to adapt (first in our minds) to potential change, is still surprising to me - especially with what I like to call my self the one wisdom to rule all of them "Change is the only constant in our lives".

I think there is a Zen Buddhism koan that phrases it better, but generally the gist is the same. I particularly like your approach here:

"why do I think this would never work?". Such a good thought process. I love referring in life general (not just for ourselves, but often also for processes, work, businesses etc.) to the question of "Why not?" or "Why would you not do something?". From my little world of exercise and sport science, particularly in conjunction with research and elite sports, I found many times fear, anxiety, and other long-term inhibitive emotions to dissipate quite quickly after trying to answer these questions.
